Why We Ask for Documents

We ask for documents to verify your identity and keep our camera gear (and your reputation) safe. It’s a one-time process that helps us keep rentals smooth, secure, and fair for everyone.

We usually ask for:
  • Government-issued Photo ID (Aadhaar / Passport / Driver’s License) – To know who you are.
  • PAN Card – For financial traceability. No, we don’t send birthday greetings via Income Tax.
  • Address Proof – Just in case our gear forgets how to come home.
  • Selfie with ID (sometimes) – To make sure it's really you, not your roommate pretending to be you *and* a filmmaker.
For company rentals:
  • GST Certificate or Company ID – So we bill correctly and keep your accountant happy.

Absolutely. Your documents are stored securely and used strictly to verify your identity. We don’t sell, share, or leak your info. Think of it like a camera bag: tightly zipped, padded, and handled with care.

Because our cameras, lenses, and lights aren’t exactly pocket change. Some kits are worth more than a car. This simple verification helps protect:

At the moment, no. We're working on alternate verification methods for low-risk gear and repeat customers. But for now, we need documents to keep things secure. It’s still less paperwork than getting a sim card, and way more fun at the end.
