Sony has launched the Alpha 7R VI (ILCE-7RM6), the sixth generation of this
high-resolution series and the successor to the A7R V. This camera carries a new
66.8-megapixel back-illuminated stacked sensor paired with the BIONZ XR2 engine, bringing
speed and video capability that were previously limited to Sony's Alpha 1 line down into
the R-series. The Sony Alpha 7R VI is now available to rent at Primes & Zooms.

Binocular basics: what do the numbers mean?

The notation (e.g., 8x42, 10x42, 12x50)
Every binocular is labeled with two numbers separated by an "x," like 8x42. The first number is the magnification, and the second is the objective lens diameter in millimeters. So an 8x42 binocular magnifies objects 8 times and has front (objective) lenses with a 42mm diameter.

We've added the recently launched Sony FE 100-400mm f/4.5 GM OSS to our rental inventory at Primes & Zooms. This lens is now available in Pune, with delivery to Mumbai as well. Announced in May 2026, this is Sony's first full-frame zoom reaching 400mm with a constant aperture throughout the zoom range — a significant departure from the well-known FE 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 GM OSS, which remains in our inventory as well. Apart from sharing the smae focal length range however, these are two completely different lenses.
