The gap in a lot of projector line-ups is daylight. Plenty of good units need a properly dark room to look their best. This is fine for a dedicated home theatre, less fine for a Sunday-afternoon living-room screening or an evening backyard setup with some ambient light still around. BenQ's GP520 is a 4K HDR projector built to hold up in exactly those situations. The BenQ GP520 is now available to rent at Primes & Zooms.
Here is what the projector offers, what it's great for and where it may not be the right tool for the job.

Where This Projector Shines
Match day, on the big screen
- MEMC and Sports mode keep fast motion clean, and 2600 lumens holds up even if the room isn't fully dark.
The proper home-theatre weekend
- 4K with HDR10+ on a 150"–180" wall, for renters who want the closest thing to a real theatre screen without the brightness compromises of a smaller unit.
Console night with friends
- ALLM keeps input lag down, so it holds up for renters bringing a PS5 or Xbox rather than just streaming apps.
Corporate and event screenings
- Bright enough for a function room with some ambient light, and quick to set up via auto keystone and geometry correction where rig time is limited.
Where This Projector Is Not the Right Choice
✕ Bedside or ceiling projection
- No rotating base and no battery. If you need these, look at the GV50 in our inventory instead.
✕ Outdoor or off-grid setups
- It needs a wall power source, unlike the GV50's power-bank option.
✕ Renters who need optical zoom
- The throw ratio is fixed; positioning has to be planned around a set distance from the screen.

Available for home delivery and pickup across Pune and Mumbai.
Pair it with:
- A wireless mic from our Audio range, useful for presentations or outdoor movie nights that need amplified sound beyond the built-in speakers
- A tripod or stand for positioning it precisely, since the throw ratio is fixed
